ADHD Awareness Month is celebrated every October to raise awareness of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects 1 in 20 Australians.
This year, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with the ADHD Awareness Month Coalition. Our shared goal is to provide reliable information and resources to help people thrive with ADHD.
The theme for 2024 is ‘Awareness is Key’. Raising awareness opens the door to so many possibilities to support those with ADHD in school, at work and in the community. It also helps teachers and employers understand their students and employees who have ADHD.
This October, we want to talk about how awareness is key, but we also want to continue the conversation so that awareness is raised throughout the year.
Wondering how you can help spread awareness? Register to watch this year’s Global ADHD Conference, reach out to us for guest speakers for your event, and download our social media tiles below so you can share awareness with your followers.

Guest speakers for events
Are you holding an event during ADHD Awareness Month and are looking for speakers? We would appreciate any opportunity to talk to your organisation about ADHD and to continue raising awareness around Australia.
Please note that as we are a volunteer organisation, we are unable to speak at every event. Reach out to info@adhdaustralia.org.au for more information.
Share positive messages on social media
To help support the conversation around awareness, we have developed social media tiles that you can download and use to share your story on social media.
Whether you have ADHD, or you know someone with ADHD, we encourage everyone to share their story on how increased awareness has helped them. Together we can continue to raise awareness and unlock so many possibilities.
Download our social media tiles and share in the positivity using #ADHDawarenessmonth
