Deakin University is establishing a Lived Experience Research Group comprising of young people in Grade 5 and 6 with a formal diagnosis of ADHD.

The purpose of the Lived Experience Research Group (LERG) is for young people to help design research aimed at understanding the educational experiences of young people with ADHD.

If chosen to participate in the LERG, young people will:

  • meet with researchers for 4 1-hour sessions over 18 months
  • share their experiences of living with ADHD
  • help design research for other young people with ADHD
  • help researchers understand the most effective methods of undertaking research with young people.
  • take part in activities such as crafting, performing and writing.
