Strategies for Improving Social Skills in Teens & Young Adults & Why It’s Important with Vivian Dunstan
Our November online talk Strategies for Improving Social Skills in Teens & Young Adults & Why It’s Important with certified PEERS Social Skills Coach, Vivian Dunstan, will discuss why it’s so important that our young people have good social skills, her experience with facilitating the PEERS® social skills programme as well as sharing with you some tips, strategies and resources that you can walk away from the talk with.
Recent events have meant more social isolation and reduced social interactions for our young people. Struggling with social skills can put teens/young adults at greater risk of peer rejection, loneliness, isolation, depression and anxiety with downstream effects including negative impacts on study, dating and finding and maintaining employment.
Vivian’s personal and professional experience means she truly understands the social skills & friendship challenges faced by our young people with ADHD and their parents and is delighted to now be making a real difference as a Certified PEERS Adolescent & Young Adult Social Skills Coach and regularly facilitating both programmes.
