ADHD Parent /Carer Survey by the PAAA group now being reviewed
There has been a fantastic response and we have achieved over the 1,000 responses required for the survey.
This survey has finished and is in the process of being collated for publication.
The Parents for ADHD Advocacy Australia group (PAAA) and ADHD Australia thank each of you who took the time to complete the survey.
The PAAA group who designed and managed the survey are expecting the preliminary results to be made available soon and these will be posted on both the PAAA website, the PAAA Facebook page and the ADHD Australia website.

This survey will help fill the gaps in the education system’s data and guide large-scale advocacy efforts of ADHD within Australia by ADHD Australia.
The survey is designed to capture the direct experiences of support for parents and care givers of students with ADHD and will identify gaps in awareness and access to support, general ADHD awareness / training amongst educators and school managers.
Providing this benchmark in statistics is important for ADHD Australia and PAAA as such information will enable the measurement of things such as:
* ADHD INTERVENTIONS
* SCHOOL SUPPORT AND FUNDING
* SCHOOL EXCLUSIONS
* PARENT/SCHOOL INTERFACE
* PRACTITIONER/SCHOOL INTERFACE
* SCHOOL SUPPORT
* PARENT SUPPORT
* SCHOOL EXPERTISE
* BULLYING AND DISCIPLINE POLICIES
* SOCIAL SKILLS AND INTEGRATION
* MEDICATION AND DIAGNOSIS
* SUSPENSIONS AND INFORMAL EXCLUSIONS
* BALANCE OF POWER, LEGAL PROTECTIONS, COMPLAINTS PROCESSES
