The Neurobiology of ADHD with Prof Valsamma Eapen, Infant, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Date: Tues 20 October 2020
Time: 7.00pm-8:30pm (Sydney-time)
This session will trace the pathophysiology of ADHD from genes to behaviour with a particular focus on the genetic and neurobiological factors that underpin the translation of biological vulnerability to clinically significant symptoms and behaviours.
Evidence from the literature in relation to the links between neuronal substrates and circuitry to cognition and behaviour will also be discussed. This in turn will be linked to the general principles of management including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
