'Stopping my ADHD child’s violence at school'
“Some kids just can’t function in the noise of a class of 25 kids,”

When Emma’s* 16-year-old daughter, Lisa*, who is both ADHD and autistic and uses they/them pronouns, spat at a teacher’s aide, it wasn’t the first time the teen’s distress had turned violent.

Lisa was also known to scream at classmates and threaten to kill teachers.

Emma says it’s “…the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with in my life.”
