Advocacy

Find out more abouty how ADHD Australia advocates for our Community.

Advocating on behalf of our ADHD Community is how we achieve our mission of creating an inclusive, supportive Australia for people with ADHD.

Our first goal was to raise Awareness of ADHD and we have been successful in bringing the condition to the attention of the broader community. We now have to promote understanding.

ADHD Awareness Month

Learn more about ADHD Awareness Month

ADHD Awareness Month is celebrated every October to raise awareness of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects 1 in 20 Australians.

This year, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with the ADHD Awareness Month Coalition. Our shared goal is to provide reliable information and resources to help people thrive with ADHD.

The theme for 2025 is ‘The Many Faces of ADHD’. Raising awareness opens the door to so many possibilities to support those with ADHD in school, at work and in the community. It also helps teachers and employers understand their students and employees who have ADHD.

This October, we want to talk about how awareness is key, but we also want to continue the conversation so that awareness is raised throughout the year.

Wondering how you can help spread awareness? Register to watch this year’s Global ADHD Conference, reach out to us for guest speakers for your event, and download our social media tiles below so you can share awareness with your followers.
